Because the first Friday in July falls on July 4th and we are closed that day, we’ll have a storewide* HALF OFF SALE all day on Thursday, 11am-5pm.  We will have the store fully stocked, so come and get some great bargains!

  • Thriftique, our boutique department with brand name and vintage clothing, unique and eclectic housewares, and ethnic clothing and wares
  • Silent Auction, where you can bid on antiques, collectibles and items of local interest
  • Booksavers, our large bookstore, also with movies, music, magazines, cards and educational materials

Furniture Donation Pickups

Not sure how to get your large furniture donation to Gift & Thrift? We can help! We schedule furniture pickups weekly. If you are within a 20 mile drive from our store and would like us to come get your furniture, please send photos of the item(s) to be donated to furniture@giftandthrift.org. Include your name and a phone number and we’ll call you back.

Note: We accept clean, gently used items without odors, stains, tears, breaks, pet hair, mold, etc. We do not accept mattresses or sleeper sofas. Other than a few porch steps, we do not carry items up or down flights of stairs.

Volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Gift & Thrift and Booksavers of Virginia. Volunteers help us prepare donations for sale, make minor repairs to furniture, stock our sales floor, cashier, and list items online. Volunteers help drive our success and bring their own energy and creativity to our operation.
